Two of a kind

O maior já aqui o tinha mostrado. Fi-lo para ela levar para a Natação. Só ainda não tinha a alça grande.

Depois da reunião de pais que me levou a fazer as toalhas achei que o saco era demasiado grande para levar as coisas que ela precisa.

Resolvi então fazer uma réplica mas mais pequenina. A diferença está só no tamanho e na alça grande, que numa é ajustável e na outra é fixa.

You already seen the bigger bag. I made it with the purpose of beeing her swimming bag equipment, but after that meeting parents, that made me sew her swimming towels, e realise that this one was to big!

I then decided to make a new bag, equal but smaller. The only diference is in the handle. The big one has an adjustable handle and the smaller one has one fix handle.

E aproveitei para fazer um saco para a roupa molhada, já que o tecido é de plástico. Serve também para guardar os chinelos.

I also made a wet bag for her shoes and her wet swimming equipment.

Detalhe do fecho, que neste saco é magnético. O remate do fecho foi feito com feltro e com aplicação de uma pequena pedra prateada.

Weekend Sewing #2 - Gym Bag

 Mais um saco! O modelo é o mesmo que usei no saco da natação, mas um pouco mais pequeno. Foi feito com o propósito de levar o equipamento da ginástica e as sapatilhas. Fiz também dois sacos pequeninos, um para uma muda de roupa interior e outro para as sapatilhas. Os tecidos são os que usei na mochila dela, comprados no IKEA. Não, ainda não me fartei!

Another bag! The model is the same as used in her swimming bag, but a little smaller. It was mede to take her gym equipment and sneakers. I also made two little bags, one for a change of underwear and the other for the sneakers. I used the same fabrics in her backpack, bought at IKEA. No, I have not had enough of them!

O saco da Natação / Her Swimming Bag

Quase quase a começar as primeiras aulas de natação resolvi fazer um saco, para ela levar toda a tralha que precisa. Foi feito à medida dela e ela adorou. O tecido é revestido a plástico, e é a segunda vez que trabalho com este material e a primeira vez que me aventurei a coser um fecho. A máquina nova portou-se à altura deste trabalho. Tenho a certeza que na outra seria muito mais dificil. Não demorou quase tempo nenhum a fazer, mas também é verdade que tenho agora muito mais prática na coisa e isso, juntamente com a máquina nova, faz toda a diferença.

Almost about to start her first swimming lessons I decided to make a bag for her to take all the stuff she will need. It was made to fit her size and she loved it. The fabric is coated with plastic, and is the second time i'm working with this material and the first time I ventured to sew a zipper. The new machine was great! I'm sure with the other would be much more difficult. It did not take much time to do it, but it is also true that I now have much more practice sewing and my new machine helps a lot.

Agora para completar queria fazer um saco pequenino para ela guardar o fato de banho e a touca molhada, mas ainda estou um pouco indecisa com o sistema de fecho que lhe hei de por, por isso ainda não sei bem.

Now I want to do to a smaller bag for her to put her wet swimsuit and cap, but I'm still a little hesitant with the closure system to use, so that just might take a litle longer to get done.
